Dy Says Unity Helped House Deliver Key Reforms

Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said unity and a shared focus on public service allowed the House of Representatives to advance key reforms during the First Regular Session of the 20th Congress.

In his closing speech, Dy said the chamber showed that meaningful legislation can move forward when lawmakers prioritize the needs of Filipinos over political differences.

The Speaker said the House’s accomplishments were made possible by cooperation among lawmakers and their commitment to place public welfare at the center of the legislative agenda.

Dy acknowledged that many Filipinos continue to look for concrete proof that government institutions are serious about delivering meaningful change.

He said rebuilding public trust remains a continuing challenge for the House.

Sapagkat gaya nga ng sinabi ko noon: Trust is not demanded. It is earned,” Dy said.

The House chief urged lawmakers to stay focused, diligent and determined in pursuing reforms that directly improve the lives of ordinary Filipinos.
