3 Regional Most Wanted Persons Arrested in Separate Police Ops

Three regional most wanted persons were arrested in separate police operations in Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Occidental Mindoro on June 1, the Philippine National Police said.

The arrests were part of the PNP’s continuing manhunt operations against fugitives with standing warrants.

In Occidental Mindoro, police arrested the No. 1 regional most wanted person in Barangay San Agustin, San Jose.

Authorities said the suspect was arrested based on multiple warrants for serious criminal cases, including arson and violent offenses. Police said the arrest was carried out peacefully, and the suspect was informed of his rights.

In Iloilo, tracker teams arrested a regional most wanted person listed as Top 5 in Barangay Tabuc-Suba, Barotac Nuevo.

Police said local units served the warrant after proper coordination, resulting in an orderly arrest.

In Negros Occidental, another regional most wanted person, listed as Top 6, was arrested in Barangay Inapoy, Kabankalan City.

The operation was carried out by police units and support personnel, who implemented the warrant without incident.

All three suspects are now under police custody and will be turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and further legal proceedings.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for the arrests, saying police must continue pursuing wanted persons while observing legal procedures and respecting the rights of suspects.

“Patuloy po nating pinapakita na ang PNP ay hindi natitinag sa pagtupad ng tungkulin. We act decisively, but always within the bounds of law and respect for rights. This is the kind of service our citizens deserve,” Nartatez said.

The PNP said the operations were part of its Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, which focuses on coordinated police action against wanted persons and other priority law enforcement concerns.
