At least 20 people have died, nine were injured, and 16 remain missing as the combined effects of the Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, and Tropical Cyclone Inday triggered flooding, landslides, and other disasters across several parts of the country.
The figures were based on the latest government disaster monitoring report issued as of 8 a.m. Monday, July 13.
Ten fatalities were recorded in Sarangani, six in Lanao del Sur, two in Bukidnon, and one each in Iloilo and Davao Occidental.
Most of the deaths occurred in Malapatan, Sarangani, and Calanogas, Lanao del Sur.
Nine people were injured in Benguet, Marinduque, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao del Norte.
Search operations were ongoing for 16 missing individuals, including eight in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental; five in Calanogas, Lanao del Sur; two in Glan, Sarangani; and one in Talayan, Maguindanao del Sur.
The weather disturbances have affected about 146,000 families, or 654,000 individuals, across several regions.
Around 5,100 families, or 20,100 people, were staying in 162 evacuation centers after being displaced by floods, landslides, and other weather-related incidents.
Authorities also reported damage to 890 houses, including 613 that were partially damaged and 277 that were destroyed.
Infrastructure damage was estimated at P3.18 million.
The government has distributed P43.38 million worth of relief and other assistance to affected families.
Authorities continued to monitor the situation as Inday enhanced the Habagat, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to parts of the country.
Residents in affected and high-risk areas were advised to remain alert, comply with evacuation orders, and monitor official weather and disaster advisories.
