Fourteen Filipino seafarers aboard the MT Acheloos were assisted by Philippine authorities in Oman following a July 20, 2026, missile incident involving their vessel.

The Migrant Workers Office in Muscat (MWO-Muscat), alongside the Philippine Embassy in Oman and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), supported the crew after they safely disembarked at Shinas Port.

Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport on August 9, the 14 workers received meals, logistical aid, and departure assistance from OWWA and MWO-Muscat.

The seafarers departed Muscat on August 9 via Qatar Airways flight QR1125, connecting through Doha on flight QR932. They are scheduled to arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at 4:30 p.m. on August 10, 2026.

MWO-Muscat coordinated with the seafarers’ manning agency and the vessel’s local agent to oversee disembarkation, ground transportation and repatriation arrangements.
