A total of 135 newly enlisted Army privates have completed the Operations Orientation Course Class 02-2026, strengthening the manpower of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division as it continues security operations in its area of responsibility.

The closing ceremony was held at the 10th Division Training School in Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro, on July 4, 2026.

The graduates comprised 122 males and 13 females.

To mark the completion of their training, the new privates showcased their combat readiness through a capability demonstration featuring Arnis and Pekiti-Tirsia Kali martial arts, as well as Close-Quarter Battle and Hostage Rescue operations.

The exercise included tactical vehicle infiltration, movement formations, wall-assault techniques, room-clearing procedures, and hostage-rescue scenarios, highlighting the discipline, operational skills, and readiness developed by the trainees during the course.

Colonel Ronaldo Valdez, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 1003rd Infantry Brigade under the 10th Infantry Division, attended the ceremony as guest of honor and speaker.

Major General Alvin Luzon, Commander of the 10th Infantry Division, said the completion of the course signals the start of the graduates’ duty to serve with honor, discipline, and professionalism.

“I commend our 135 new privates for successfully completing the Operations Orientation Course. This training is the foundation of your profession as soldiers and has prepared you for the demands of military service. As you join our operational units, uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, integrity, and selfless service as you fulfill your duty of protecting the people and preserving the peace we have worked hard to achieve,” Maj. Gen. Luzon said.

After graduation, the new privates will be deployed to different subordinate units of the 10th Infantry Division to reinforce its operational capabilities.

The division said the newly trained soldiers will help improve mission readiness as the Agila Division remains focused on External Security Operations while sustaining gains from Internal Security Operations across its insurgency-free Area of Operations.

Their deployment is also expected to support the Philippine Army’s mandate to defend the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
