The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested a wanted individual in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, after serving a court-issued warrant for alleged violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
The operation was conducted on June 3, 2026 by the Provincial Highway Patrol Team Laguna under the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A.
According to the PNP-HPG, the arrest was carried out based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 101 in Sta. Rosa City for alleged violation of Section 5(a) of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
The court recommended bail of P36,000.
Police said the arrested individual was properly informed of the charge against him and was apprised of his constitutional rights in accordance with standard procedures.
He was later turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and further legal action.
PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan commended the operating personnel for their professionalism in implementing the warrant.
“The successful implementation of lawful warrants reflects our commitment to supporting the justice system and ensuring that court orders are carried out with professionalism, accountability, and respect for due process,” Batangan said.
The PNP-HPG said it will continue to support police operations in enforcing the law, serving court warrants, and promoting safer communities through lawful and intelligence-driven operations.
