Two individuals were arrested after police recovered a motorcycle reported stolen in an operation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) said the operation was conducted by the Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) Pampanga under Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 at around 7:30 pm on June 4, 2026 along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Sto. Domingo.
Authorities launched the operation after receiving information that a motorcycle being offered for sale matched the description of one earlier reported stolen in Capas, Tarlac.
Police recovered a 2025 Honda Click bearing plate number W1068E, which is registered to a resident of Capas. The motorcycle is now under the temporary custody of PHPT Pampanga pending further investigation and proper disposition.
The two arrested individuals were informed of their constitutional rights before they were brought to PHPT Pampanga for documentation and the filing of appropriate legal action.
PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan praised the operating personnel for their quick response and coordination with local police units.
“This accomplishment highlights the importance of timely information sharing, public cooperation, and coordinated police action in the immediate recovery of stolen vehicles and the protection of rightful owners,” Batangan said.
The HPG said it will continue operations against vehicle theft and other motor vehicle-related crimes as part of its mandate to protect motorists and legitimate vehicle owners.
