VinFast is doubling down on the Philippine market — this time with something built for the school run
The shift to electric mobility in the Philippines is gaining another major boost as VinFast officially introduces a new seven-seater designed squarely for Filipino families, signaling a stronger push toward practical, budget-friendly electric vehicles in a market still dominated by traditional MPVs or multi-purpose vehicles.
Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast has launched the VinFast VF MPV 7 in the Philippines, marking its third international market rollout for the model and expanding its growing lineup in the country’s fast-developing EV sector.
Priced at P1.518 million for the battery-included variant and P1.239 million under a battery subscription plan, the VF MPV 7 enters the market with a flexible ownership structure. The subscription option starts at P2,700 monthly for up to 2,000 kilometers of travel, with higher usage plans at P4,150 per month.

Customers can begin placing orders starting May 5, 2026, through VinFast dealerships nationwide. Early buyers—limited to the first 1,000 units until May 31—will receive promotional perks, including one year of free battery subscription for moderate users or a P27,200 discount for those opting to purchase the battery outright.
Positioned in the highly competitive MPV segment, which accounts for nearly one-fifth of vehicle sales in the Philippines, the VF MPV 7 is aimed at families seeking more space, lower running costs, and a transition away from gasoline-powered vehicles.
Built with practicality in mind, the model measures 4,740 mm in length and offers a 2,840 mm wheelbase, translating to a cabin designed for multi-generational use. Its layout follows a “cornered-wheel” design approach to maximize interior space, while exterior styling features VinFast’s signature V-shaped LED daytime running lights and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The vehicle also prioritizes comfort and flexibility inside as it offers up to 1,240 liters of cargo space with seats configured for both passengers and luggage-heavy trips. Power comes from a 150 kW electric motor producing 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.13 kWh battery capable of up to 450 kilometers of range under NEDC standards.

Fast-charging capability allows the battery to recharge from 10 percent to 70 percent in roughly 30 minutes, making it suitable for both city driving and longer intercity trips.
One of the model’s strongest selling points is its lower operating cost compared to traditional MPVs, with energy expenses expected to remain significantly more stable than fuel prices. Buyers also get added incentives, including free charging at V-Green stations across the Philippines until March 2029, along with a seven-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty.
VinFast Southeast Asia CEO Antonio Zara said the launch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Philippine market and its broader global expansion strategy.
“The VF MPV 7 is designed as a ‘comprehensive upgrade’ for families, combining space, performance, and affordability while setting a new benchmark in the MPV category,” Zara tells Screencap Media.
Alongside the rollout, VinFast continues to expand its local dealership and service network while offering incentives such as free charging and flexible ownership schemes to encourage wider EV adoption in the country.
