Police arrested three of Region 1’s most wanted persons in separate operations in Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte and La Union on July 9.

The suspects face charges involving rape, acts of lasciviousness and firearms violations, according to the Philippine National Police.

In Dagupan City, police arrested the region’s No. 7 most wanted person, a local driver wanted for three counts of acts of lasciviousness and one count of qualified rape of a minor through sexual assault.

The court recommended bail of ₱180,000 for each acts of lasciviousness charge and ₱200,000 for the qualified rape case.

The arrest was carried out by the City Mobile Force Company with support from Police Station 5 and intelligence units of the Dagupan City Police Office.

In Bangui, Ilocos Norte, police captured the region’s No. 10 most wanted person, a male student residing in Batac City.

He is facing a non-bailable charge of statutory rape.

Meanwhile, the No. 2 most wanted person in Rosario, La Union, was arrested by the municipal police.

The suspect, a miner originally from Itogon, Benguet, is facing charges under the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. Bail was set at ₱120,000.

The three accused were informed of the reasons for their arrest and their constitutional rights before being taken to their respective police stations for documentation and court proceedings.

“These arrests underscore our unwavering commitment to ensuring that those who evade the law are located and brought before the courts. Every successful manhunt strengthens public confidence that justice will prevail,” PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said.

“Hindi namin bibiguin ang mga biktima. Titiyakin naming mananagot sa batas ang mga akusadong pinaghahanap ng hukuman,” he added.

The PNP said intelligence and manhunt operations against wanted persons would continue across the region.
