The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded a 29.75% decline in focus crimes nationwide during the third quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in the previous year.
Police records show consistent decreases across primary offense categories, including theft, robbery, physical injury, and motor vehicle theft.
Internal security officials attributed the drop-in criminal activity to expanded visual police presence, intelligence-driven operations, and strengthened community partnership programs.
“Our sustained strategic deployments and enhanced patrol operations continue to yield measurable results in maintaining peace and order,” police representatives said.
They also said law enforcement agencies will maintain heightened operational readiness to prevent seasonal crime upticks and preserve public safety.
The PNP emphasized that inter-agency coordination with local government units remains a core pillar of its long-term crime prevention strategy.
