The Philippine Military Academy (PMA), through its Headquarters Academic Group, continued the conduct of the Fundamentals of Python Programming for members of the PMA “MANDARAIG” Class of 2027 at Sandiwa Hall on June 18, 2026.
The initiative forms part of the academy’s sustained implementation of microcredential programs designed to equip cadets with knowledge and skills aligned with the evolving operational environment. The program is intended to address emerging competency requirements in modern military operations, particularly in areas where technology plays an increasingly significant role.
The 10-day Fundamentals of Python Programming session serves as a foundational course supporting learning in technology-based systems, including applications related to unmanned systems and robotics.
Upcoming microcredential topics include Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Unmanned Systems, and Electronic Warfare, all aimed at broadening cadets’ understanding of technologies and concepts relevant to modern multi-domain operations.
The PMA “MANDARAIG” Class of 2027 is the final class to undergo the microcredential program as a bridging initiative. Classes from 2028 onwards are already enrolled under the revised curriculum, which integrates subjects aligned with contemporary military requirements and the evolving security environment.
Through the continued rollout of microcredentials, PMA reaffirmed its commitment to providing cadets with forward-looking education that complements military training and leadership development. The academy said these efforts support its mission to produce future Armed Forces of the Philippines officers who are grounded in discipline and character and prepared for the technological demands of modern warfare.
