The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) have formalized a partnership aimed at advancing space science and technology education among Filipino youth while strengthening engagement with overseas Filipinos through educational, cultural, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The collaboration was sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on June 18, 2026, by PhilSA Director General Dr. Gay Jane Perez and CFO Chairperson Dante “Klink” Ang II.
Under the agreement, the two agencies will work together on various educational and cultural programs, including the PhilSA Space Science Camp and the CFO’s Exchange Visitor Program (EVP), Youth Leaders in the Diaspora (YouLeaD), and the Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas.
The partnership also seeks to engage overseas Filipino scientists, engineers, researchers, and technology experts through the EVP, providing opportunities for them to share their knowledge, expertise, and experiences in support of the country’s national space program.
Through these initiatives, PhilSA and CFO aim to inspire young Filipinos, promote greater interest in science and technology, and highlight the significant contributions of Filipinos around the world to innovation, research, and national development.
