PDEA reports P129 Million in illegal drugs seized in weeklong nationwide operations

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said it confiscated an estimated P129.13 million worth of illegal drugs during nationwide operations conducted from January 30 to February 6.

In a statement issued on Monday, February 9, the agency reported that 113 individuals were arrested in connection with the operations.

Of those apprehended, 45 were identified as alleged pushers, 39 as alleged drug den clients, 15 as alleged den owners or maintainers, four as employees, eight as alleged possessors, and two as alleged importers.

Authorities carried out 93 anti-drug operations during the period. These included 54 buy bust operations, 23 marijuana eradication efforts, three search and seizure raids involving the service of search warrants, and 12 interdiction operations.

The agency described the results as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply chains and dismantle drug groups operating in various parts of the country.

PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez said the operations reflect coordination among law enforcement agencies and highlighted the role of the agency’s K nine narcotics detection teams and their handlers in supporting interdiction efforts.

He said their performance demonstrates the continued implementation of established enforcement protocols.

The agency reiterated its call for public cooperation, encouraging citizens to report suspected illegal drug activities through its hotlines at 0995 354 7020 and 0931 027 8212, as well as through its official social media platforms, including the Facebook page “Isumbong Mo sa PDEA.”
