Malacañang said Wednesday that the Marcos administration, through the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), will appeal the Supreme Court decision declaring unconstitutional the 2024 and 2025 General Appropriations Acts (GAAs) and certain provisions in the 2026 budget.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, in a briefing, said Malacañang respectfully accepts the High Court’s decision but is requesting the Supreme Court to review the decision after ordering the OSG to file a motion for reconsideration.
Castro also expressed confidence that President Marcos Jr. has no liability nor did he violate any laws when unprogrammed funds were used in the past, as he was simply complying with and implementing the law.
