The Philippine Air Force (PAF) sustained its humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations on June 11, 2026, following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Southern Mindanao, providing relief and medical support to affected communities in coordination with government agencies and civilian volunteers.
From Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City, the PAF airlifted 1,000 ChariTimba relief packs—pail-type containers filled with essential items provided by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO)—to General Santos City. A C-295 aircraft transported the first 270 packs, while a C-130 carried the remaining 730, supporting ongoing relief distribution.
In a separate operation, an S-70i Black Hawk helicopter of the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing delivered 480 family food packs and 450 bottled water packs from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) to affected communities in Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental, and Sorsogon. Another Black Hawk conducted a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission, transporting residents from Sarangani Province to Cotabato for urgent medical care.
These airlift and MEDEVAC missions highlight the PAF’s rapid response capability, coordination with partner agencies, and commitment to ensuring timely delivery of life-saving assistance to disaster-stricken areas.
