Projects supporting indigenous weaving, Schools of Living Traditions, cultural documentaries, and heritage documentation underscore the importance of maintaining identity while protecting historical landmarks. Laws strengthening cultural property protection and requiring local governments to map and preserve heritage resources further ensure that freedom is anchored in knowledge of the past.
