Baguio City is set to welcome a new nature attraction as the Baguio Arboretum opens to the public on October 19, offering visitors an elevated walkway through a green space dedicated to trees, biodiversity and environmental appreciation.
Located along Leonard Wood Road beside the Baguio Botanical Garden, the arboretum features tree-lined pathways and an elevated boardwalk designed to let visitors experience the surrounding greenery from a different perspective.

The attraction is envisioned as more than another sightseeing stop in the Summer Capital. It will serve as a living collection of trees and other woody plants for conservation, education, research and public appreciation, according to reports citing the city’s environment and parks management office.
Visitors can look forward to leisurely walks among the trees, opportunities to appreciate native vegetation and activities focused on the area’s natural environment. Cultural activities and bird-watching tours are also planned through the city’s partnership with the Haring Ibon Foundation.

The new attraction offers another option for travelers seeking a quieter outdoor experience beyond Baguio’s established tourist destinations. Its location near the Botanical Garden also makes it a potential addition to itineraries focused on the city’s parks and green spaces.
With its elevated walkway and emphasis on biodiversity, the Baguio Arboretum adds to the city’s efforts to promote nature-based tourism while encouraging visitors to appreciate and protect the environment.
The arboretum is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, October 19, 2026.
