MMDA Expands ‘Yes to Ayos’ Drive to Pateros

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has brought its “Yes to Ayos” Disiplina campaign to Pateros, expanding the initiative with new private and environmental partners to promote discipline, cleanliness, and shared responsibility across Metro Manila.

Following its soft launch in Malabon, the campaign’s second rollout was held at Pateros Elementary School, with support from foundations and other cause-oriented groups like the Mother Earth Foundation and the EcoWaste Coalition.

MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes said the partnership with private sector and non-government institutions is “designed to amplify the message of discipline beyond the government-led campaign and into the daily lives of residents.”

Franz Gerard Imperial, undersecretary for Presidential Broadcast Staff-Radio Television Malacañang, said the campaign supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call to build a culture of discipline and accountability.

“Yes to Ayos, mamamayang mahusay at disiplinado!

MMDA Deputy Chairman Usec. Frisco San Juan said the program aims not only to remind people of rules, but also to encourage citizens to help maintain order in their communities.

As part of the campaign, the MMDA unveiled “Lola Daisy Plina’s Eco TINGIndahan,” a refilling store where residents can use points earned from exchanging recyclables to refill containers with products such as condiments and rice. The project supports the campaign’s “Yes to 4R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.”

Pateros Mayor Gerald German welcomed the campaign, saying the municipality fully supports efforts to promote order and discipline.

Barangay Sta. Ana Chairperson Betty Santos also thanked the MMDA for cleanup and clearing operations in their community, including clearing esteros and canals, adding pedestrian crossing road markings, conducting misting operations, and trimming trees along roads.

The event ended with a pledge of commitment led by MMDA General Manager Usec. Nicolas Torre III, joined by national and local officials, barangay representatives, and private and non-government partners.
