Makati City officials, private sector representatives, and law enforcement authorities convened on Wednesday to discuss the proposed Makati Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, a planned transport initiative aimed at improving mobility and public service in the city.

The coordination meeting was held at the Tower 1, 25th Floor Blue Room along Ayala Avenue in Ayala Triangle, Makati City.

Representatives from Ayala Land Estate Inc. (ALEI), Makati City Hall, select department heads, Public Safety Department Head Police Brig. Gen. Rodelio Jocson (Ret.), Urban Development Department Head Melina Panganiban, City Administrator Atty. Marianne Lozada, the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW), and Police Col. Pedro Alagano Jr., Chief of Police of the Makati City Police Station, attended the meeting.

The discussion centered on plans for the proposed BRT project, including traffic management initiatives, public safety measures, coordination mechanisms, and other key concerns that may affect the implementation of the transportation system.

The meeting underscored the importance of close coordination among the local government, the private sector, and law enforcement agencies as Makati continues to explore measures to promote sustainable urban mobility and ease of movement within the city’s busy commercial and residential districts.

Authorities said the activity reflects the continuing partnership among stakeholders to support efficient transportation systems, enhance road safety, and improve the delivery of public service for residents, workers, businesses, and visitors in Makati City.
