The local government of the City of Makati recognized the dedication of its healthcare workforce during the Awards and Recognition 2026 held today at the Makati City Hall, honoring medical frontliners, outstanding health facilities, and programs that continue to strengthen public healthcare services in the city.

The ceremony highlighted the contributions of healthcare workers who have played a vital role in delivering quality and client-centered services to Makati residents. The awardees proudly received recognition for their service, professionalism, and commitment to improving community health.

Speaking on behalf of Mayor Nancy Binay, Coun. Arlene Ortega reaffirmed the city government’s commitment to ensuring accessible and high-quality healthcare for every resident.

“Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ng Makati Health Department, tinitiyak natin na mananatiling mataas ang kalidad ng pangangalagang pangkalusugan sa ating lungsod, sapagkat bawat taga-Makati ay may karapatang tumanggap ng pinakamahusay na serbisyo,” Ortega said.

The event also underscored the importance of client satisfaction as a key measure of effective public service, particularly in the health sector where residents rely on prompt, compassionate, and efficient care.

Among those present were DOH Development Management Officer V Dr. Jose Mari Castro, OIC-Makati Health Department Dr. Bernard Sese, Division Head for Public Health Dr. Jane Tan-Rivero, DOH Representative for Makati Albert Jerome Casihan, and fellow healthcare professionals who joined in honoring Makati’s modern-day healthcare heroes.
