Filipino indie label Offshore Music is giving fans another sweet reason to revisit one of the most imaginative chapters in OPM history.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Fruitcake, the Eraserheads’ beloved fourth studio album, Offshore Music has teamed up with award-winning illustrator and comics creator Rob Cham for a special limited-edition merchandise drop that reimagines the album’s colorful, strange, and whimsical universe for a new generation of listeners.
The collaboration features a limited-edition shirt designed by Cham, whose modern visual take on Fruitcake serves as both a tribute to longtime fans and an invitation for newer listeners to step inside the curious world of Fruitcake Heights.

Known for his distinct approach to visual storytelling, Cham said the project allowed him to revisit the album not just as a piece of music, but as an entire world filled with characters, images, and odd little wonders.
“I wanted to do my take on the storybook while also keeping it something that people would see and be curious about what the album is about,” Cham said.
The artist shared that he immersed himself deeply in the Fruitcake universe while working on the design. He listened to the album repeatedly, reread the accompanying book, and revisited old music videos to fully capture the spirit of the project.
“I wanted to make other fans of Fruitcake happy and tried to capture the energy that the album has,” he added. “There are so many crazy characters and visuals and pure imagination in the album and storybook, and I wanted to make people feel as excited as I was when I first learned about the album.”
Released in 1996, Fruitcake has long held a special place in the Eraserheads’ catalog. Unlike a conventional holiday record, the 22-track album unfolded as a full Christmas concept album, taking listeners through the fictional community of Fruitcake Heights and following the journey of a young girl through its eccentric world.
Entirely recorded in English, the album became a cult favorite over the years, admired for its storytelling, playful sound, unusual structure, and unmistakably Filipino sense of Christmas nostalgia. For many fans, Fruitcake was not just a seasonal release, but a strange, ambitious, and charming piece of OPM world-building.
As the album reaches its 30-year milestone, Cham hopes the new merchandise encourages fans to listen again with fresh ears.
“I hope people give the album another listen and reconnect with their memories of Filipino Christmas,” he said. “For those discovering it for the first time, I hope they experience it from start to finish and piece together the story.”
He also hopes the shirt becomes more than just a collectible, but a meaningful piece for fans who grew up with the album or are only beginning to discover its magic.
“I hope they find something new they hadn’t noticed before and wear this shirt with love for this album. More importantly, I hope it becomes a meaningful part of their collection,” Cham added.
The Rob Cham x Fruitcake 30th Anniversary merchandise line will be available at the Offshore Music Bazaar on June 26, 2026, at Thai Mookata in Makati City.
The launch will happen on the same day and at the same venue as Fête de la Musique: The Indie Stage, making it a fitting celebration of Filipino music, visual art, and the enduring charm of one of the Eraserheads’ most imaginative works.
