Police Chief Master Sergeant Maria Zha-Zha C. Bio will represent the Philippines at the Mrs. International Global 2026 World Final in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this October after winning the Classic Mrs. Philippines International Global 2026 crown.
Bio, who serves under the Philippine National Police Civil Security Group, earned the national title during the coronation night held on May 30 at Seda Hotel in Nuvali, Laguna.
She also received several special awards, including Top 3 Best in Interview, Most Intellect and Mrs. Philippines Dignity.
The PNP said the recognitions reflected her poise, confidence, intellect and character.
Beyond police service, Bio is also a chemical specialist and educator. Her advocacies center on women’s empowerment, chemical safety awareness, environmental protection and family health.
PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said Bio’s achievement showed that public service can extend beyond law enforcement.
“PCMS Maria Zha-Zha Bio has shown that genuine public service is built on competence, character, and compassion. Her achievement reflects the caliber of our police officers and serves as an inspiration to every Filipino. Ipinapakita niya na ang isang pulis ay maaaring maging huwaran hindi lamang sa tungkulin kundi pati sa pagbibigay-inspirasyon sa iba,” Nartatez said.
He expressed confidence that Bio would represent both the country and the police organization with distinction.
“As she represents the Philippines, she also carries the honor of the Philippine National Police before the world. We are proud of her accomplishment and wish her every success in the international competition. Dalhin mo ang husay, dangal, at puso ng lahing Pilipino. Nasa likod mo ang buong PNP,” he said.
The PNP said it would continue recognizing personnel who bring honor to the country through achievements in public service and other fields.
