The Department of Energy (DOE) participated in the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) Energy 101 Series, “Bringing Renewable Energy to the Filipino Consumer,” where agency officials shared key policy updates and insights on renewable energy development, consumer energy choices, energy efficiency, and transport electrification.
Representing the DOE, Assistant Secretary Myra Roa delivered the keynote presentation and joined a panel discussion highlighting the department’s renewable energy programs and initiatives aimed at expanding consumer access to clean energy.
Meanwhile, Director Patrick Aquino discussed demand-side management strategies, energy efficiency measures, and the country’s efforts to accelerate electric vehicle adoption.
The forum also provided an opportunity for dialogue with industry leaders and stakeholders on the role of renewable energy in supporting energy security and sustainable development.
Assistant Secretary Lethel Alburo-Mejia concluded the event by reaffirming the DOE’s commitment to advancing policies and programs that promote a secure, reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy future for all Filipinos.
