Car Recovered in Pasay City Through Voluntary Surrender

The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) recovered a motor vehicle through voluntary surrender during a police assistance operation in Pasay City on June 15, 2026.

Personnel of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 (RHPU 3) took custody of a silver Toyota Fortuner with plate number ABQ 6015, surrendered in Barangay 84, Zone 10.

The case stemmed from a complaint filed before RHPU 3 regarding the alleged non-return of a vehicle that had been entrusted to an individual. Police assistance and dialogue between the parties eventually led to the voluntary turnover of the unit.

Verification through the HPG Vehicle Information Management System (HPG-VIMS) showed that the vehicle was not listed as stolen or wanted at the time of recovery.

PNP-HPG Director PBGen. Rommel S. Batangan commended the personnel involved, saying the operation underscores the value of police intervention and cooperation in resolving motor vehicle-related disputes through lawful means.

The vehicle is now under HPG custody pending further verification and proper disposition.
