The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested the Regional Level No. 4 Most Wanted Person in Police Regional Office 2 during a manhunt operation on June 11, 2026 in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.
The 29-year-old male laborer was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya for three counts of statutory rape. No bail was recommended.
The operation was conducted by personnel of the Aritao Municipal Police Station with support from the 115th Special Action Company of the Special Action Force and the Provincial Intelligence Team of the Regional Intelligence Unit 2.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Aritao Municipal Police Station pending turnover to the issuing court.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the arrest underscores the agency’s sustained drive to apprehend fugitives and enforce accountability for serious crimes.
“The arrest of wanted persons demonstrates the PNP’s commitment to the rule of law and to ensuring that those facing serious charges are brought before the courts,” Nartatez said.
He added that the PNP will continue sustained operations against fugitives under its ongoing manhunt campaign, in line with directives to strengthen law enforcement visibility and responsiveness.
The PNP said the operation is part of its Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which emphasizes intelligence-driven pursuit of wanted persons and strict enforcement of warrants nationwide.
The agency reiterated its commitment to sustained law enforcement operations under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and its campaign banner, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
