A 73-year-old American national was shot dead after three armed men barged into his home in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, late Monday night, police said.
The attack occurred at around 11:30 p.m. in Purok 3, Barangay Ajong.
Police said the victim and his 34-year-old Filipina companion were watching television in the living room when three male suspects entered the house.
“Thereafter, one of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun, shot Victim 1 (American) in the head,” the police report said.
Investigators are working to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the killing.
