Philippine Army responders have delivered essential humanitarian assistance, including food supplies, potable water, and medical relief, to isolated communities affected by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake and subsequent strong aftershocks in parts of Mindanao.
The relief operations covered hard-to-reach areas in Sarangani and Davao Occidental provinces, where access has been limited due to terrain conditions and disaster impacts.
Army responders, working alongside the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), successfully transported essential aid packages, clean drinking water, and medical supplies to affected residents in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, and Glan, Sarangani Province.

To address urgent water needs, the Philippine Army also coordinated with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in deploying a mobile water filtration system in Maasim, Sarangani, providing potable water to quake-affected families.
Army units on the ground provided logistical support and manpower to facilitate the rapid movement and distribution of relief goods to isolated communities, ensuring that supplies reached areas with limited or no road access.
At the same time, Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (SRR) operations continue in affected areas, with teams deployed to locate missing individuals, particularly in high-risk zones prone to landslides.
The Philippine Army’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) units are coordinating closely with national government agencies and local government units to ensure the continued and synchronized delivery of relief operations across quake-affected provinces.
