Sue Ramirez Opens Up on Motherhood, Dominic Roque’s Dad Potential

Sue Ramirez is speaking more openly about a life chapter she says she has long hoped for, becoming a mother.

The actress made the personal admission during the grand media conference for Regal Entertainment’s upcoming film “Project Baby,” where the movie’s theme of motherhood and family planning crossed into questions about her own future.

Asked if she would be open to having a child with boyfriend Dominic Roque, Sue answered with candor.

“Why not? Sana. Kung maibibigay, di ba?” she said.

Sue then turned the spotlight to Dominic, saying she believes the actor has the qualities of someone who could become a good parent.

“I think Dominic will be a very, very good father in the future, if he does want to have kids,” she added.

Her answer quickly drew public attention, not only because of her relationship with Dominic, but also because it came while she was promoting a film that explores modern ideas of womanhood, motherhood, and starting a family outside the usual expectations.

In “Project Baby,” Sue plays a woman confronting choices about having a child, a storyline that appears to have made the press conference question even more personal.

The actress said motherhood has long been something she wanted for herself.

“Matagal ko na siyang gustong mangyari for me. Gusto kong maging nanay. Gusto kong maging nanay na katulad ng nanay ko,” she shared.

Sue, who is nearing 30, also acknowledged that the thought of having a child has become more real at this stage of her life. Still, she said she is leaving the timing open, saying she would welcome motherhood if it is given to her.

Her remarks also gave fans a rare glimpse into how she sees Dominic beyond their public image as a couple. Sue described him as kind, family-centered, God-fearing, and someone whose character has made her feel deeply grateful.

She said there are moments when simply looking at him makes her thank God, especially because she did not expect to find someone so good as she approached a new decade in her life.

Sue was also asked whether she would consider having a child even before marriage. She answered yes, but explained that her view has matured through time. For her, the issue is not only about marriage or timing, but about whether a woman has chosen someone trustworthy, grounded, and capable of being a good father.

The actress said she has seen those qualities in Dominic, including in how he treats his family, his nieces and nephews, and even her pets.

For now, Sue did not announce any concrete plans for marriage or pregnancy. What she made clear, however, is that motherhood is no longer just a film topic for her. It is a future she is willing to embrace, and one she can now imagine with Dominic by her side.
