Armed Forces of the Philippines (APF) Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. paid his final respects to two Philippine Air Force (PAF) personnel who died in a training aircraft crash in Tuba, Benguet.
Brawner visited the wake of 1Lt. Ruth Angelique Pasos and 2Lt. Cherky Embudo on May 22 at the Philippine Air Force Mortuary inside the Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The two airmen were killed in an aircraft mishap on May 20 while on a Military Pilot Training flight.

During the visit, Brawner honored the fallen officers and conveyed the AFP’s condolences to their bereaved families. He recognized Pasos and Embudo for their courage, dedication, and faithful service to the country.

The AFP said it stands with the families of the two airmen as the military mourns their deaths and pays tribute to their sacrifice in the line of duty.
Their service, the military said, reflects the professionalism and commitment of Filipino military aviators who continue to safeguard the country and its people.
