PH Army Boosts Field Healthcare With Mobile Labs

The Philippine Army has received new mobile medical laboratories that will be deployed to field units nationwide, strengthening the military’s capacity to deliver health services to soldiers and communities.

The turnover ceremony was held on May 20, 2026 at the Philippine Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The donation was made possible through the Lab for All Program of First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, in partnership with Robinsons Land Foundation Inc.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete formally received the mobile laboratories from the First Lady and Lance Gokongwei during the ceremonial turnover, which was witnessed by Army officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resource staff.

Nafarrete expressed gratitude for the donation, saying the mobile laboratories will help improve the welfare of soldiers and enhance the Army’s service to communities, especially in areas where medical access may be limited.

He said the support would also inspire troops to remain committed to their mission, strengthen their operational capabilities, and extend better care and assistance to those they serve.

“This blessing is not just a gift of resources, but also a reminder that compassion, unity, and service continue to move our nation forward,” Nafarrete said.

The Army said the new mobile laboratories symbolize hope, readiness, and public service, reinforcing its broader mission of supporting both military personnel and civilian communities across the country.
