A Philippine Air Force (PAF) SF-260 trainer aircraft crashed in Cabuyao, Tuba, Benguet on Wednesday morning during a navigation training flight, the PAF confirmed.
The aircraft went down at around 10:30 am with two pilots on board. It was one of 10 planes that had departed Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Batangas, and was headed to Baguio City as part of the training mission.
Following the crash, the PAF said it immediately coordinated with local government units and the nearest air base for response and assistance.
The Air Force has yet to release details on the condition of the pilots.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the crash. The PAF said further updates will be issued once verified information becomes available.
