The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) promoted six senior military officers in recognition of their leadership, service, and operational readiness, reaffirming the institution’s emphasis on merit and professionalism within the ranks.

AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. led the donning of ranks ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo, honoring officers entrusted with greater responsibilities across key command, intelligence, personnel, and procurement units.

Among those promoted was Maj. Gen. Ronaldo Juan, deputy commander of the AFP Intelligence Command. Also elevated were Commodore Carlos Ruiz III, commander of Joint Task Force Malampaya under the Western Command; Brig. Gen. Montano Almodovar, chief of staff of the Strategic Command; Commodore Ramilo Trinidad, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel; and Brig. Gen. Crisanto Prado, chief of the AFP Procurement Service.

The AFP said the promotions reflect the military’s continuing commitment to recognizing exemplary leadership, dedication, and service excellence among its officers.

According to the military, each promotion signifies the institution’s confidence in the officers’ capacity to lead more critical missions and uphold national security in service of the Filipino people.
