A man facing charges for alleged violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act was arrested during a joint police operation in Gamu, Isabela, the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) said.

The PNP-HPG said operatives from the Isabela Provincial Highway Patrol Team and the Gamu Police Station served the warrant at around 9:30 a.m. on May 11 in District III, Gamu.

Authorities identified the suspect as a male driver and resident of Gamu, Isabela.

Police said the arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued for violation of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.

The warrant was issued on May 7, 2026 by Regional Trial Court Branch 18 Judge Grace Amigo Manoloto in Ilagan, Isabela, with recommended bail set at P2,000.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the Isabela Provincial Highway Patrol Team for documentation and proper disposition before being turned over to the issuing court.

PNP-HPG Acting Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan said the arrest forms part of continuing manhunt operations against wanted persons.

“We remain committed in supporting the administration of justice through lawful and intelligence-driven operations to ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts,” Batangan said.

The PNP-HPG also urged the public to cooperate with authorities and provide information that may help locate wanted individuals.
