The House of Representatives, under the leadership of Speaker Faustino “Bodjie” Dy III, has expressed deep sorrow following the passing of former Speaker Pro Tempore and Northern Samar Rep. Raul Daza.
In an official family statement, his death was confirmed alongside a tribute honoring his life and achievements. He was 91 years old.
The Daza family remembered him as a steadfast defender of democracy, a distinguished lawyer and certified public accountant, and a dedicated public servant.
In a statement, Dy honored Daza’s long career in governance and his commitment to democracy, justice, and the welfare of his constituents and the nation.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to hold necrological services to honor Daza on October 19, 2026.
