Malacañang has called on Filipinos to take advantage of the national government’s latest Retail Treasury Bond (RTB 32) offering, highlighting the investment as an accessible, virtually risk-free opportunity that simultaneously fuels national development.
The call to invest comes as the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) opened the public offering period for RTB 32, which carries a 2.5-year tenor maturing in 2029. The current offer runs from September 29 to October 7, 2026, with an entry point starting at P5,000.
Executive officials emphasized that RTBs provide everyday citizens with a safe instrument to grow their savings while contributing directly to infrastructure and socio-economic programs.
”With investments starting at P5,000, retail treasury bonds provide an accessible investment option for Filipinos,” Finance Secretary Frederick Go stated regarding the rollout. ”They allow individuals, including those who may be new to investing, to participate in the country’s financial markets and build their savings over time.”
Go added that expanding digital investment options remains a key priority for the administration to connect ordinary savers with capital markets.
”Through strategic regulation, collaborative partnerships with the private sector, and aggressive digital innovation, we bridge the gap between everyday savers and institutional capital markets,” Go said.
Backing from the national government ensures that principal and interest payments for RTB 32 are guaranteed by the full financial capacity of the Republic. Beyond traditional over-the-counter bank transactions, the public can purchase the bonds through the BTr Online Ordering Facility and various mobile banking and e-wallet applications.
