Private employment agencies in the Philippines are expressing strong confidence that Filipino workers will successfully adapt to, and excel alongside, rapid technological shifts in international workplaces as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) accelerates its integration of artificial intelligence and digital solutions into its economy.
To ensure local talent remains competitive ahead of the UAE’s 2030 digital workforce goals, the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI) is organizing the UAE-PH Business & Labor Conference. Scheduled for Nov. 17 to 18 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, the summit is expected to convene around 400 international recruitment delegates and corporate executives.
The conference aims to foster tighter collaboration between private agencies and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to resolve existing deployment bottlenecks and realign training standards with the UAE’s evolving market demands.
PASEI President Rowena Paragas emphasized that proactive skill upgrading is essential as global industries shift toward automation, noting that it is vital for Filipino laborers to stay synchronized with technological advancements like AI.
Despite the rapid influx of digital tools, Paragas remains optimistic about the long-term demand for overseas Filipino workers, pointing out that numerous key sectors in the UAE will continue to rely heavily on human skill, specialized experience and hands-on expertise.
