Multi-Vehicle Pileup at Busy Manila Intersection Leaves Eight Hurt

  • September 12, 2026

Eight individuals sustained injuries after a seven-vehicle chain-reaction crash snarled traffic at a major intersection in Manila on Friday night, September 11.

The multi-vehicle accident occurred along España Boulevard at the corner of P. Noval Street, involving a mix of public and private transport: two commercial buses, two SUVs, two passenger jeepneys and a motorcycle.

Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicles collided in rapid succession at the heavily traveled crossing, resulting in eight people suffering body injuries of varying severity. Emergency responders dispatched seven of the injured victims to nearby medical facilities for treatment, while details regarding the full extent of their conditions were not immediately released.

Traffic law enforcement and emergency personnel promptly secured the crash site to clear the wreckage and conduct an initial investigation. Authorities are currently determining the exact sequence of events and factors that led to the chain of collisions across the seven involved vehicles.

Official identification of the victims and the definitive cause of the incident remain pending as the investigation continues.
