President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed government agencies to maximize resources for communities hit by continuous heavy rains and flooding, particularly in Luzon.
Lagdameo noted that agencies are tapping Quick Response Funds (QRFs) for relief and infrastructure repair, adding that the DSWD “swiftly distributed nearly 193,000 family food packs, along with hot meals and essential relief kits, across the country.”
As of Tuesday, DSWD-DROMIC data shows over P790.78 million in total aid distributed to the 1.5 million families (5.39 million people) affected nationwide, with tens of thousands currently staying in evacuation centers or with relatives.
