Fuel Prices Roll Back, LPG Costs Rise in August

Motorists will get a slight reprieve this week as fuel prices are set to decrease, while households using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will face higher cooking gas costs this August.

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that pump prices for gasoline, diesel and kerosene will be reduced from August 4 to 10, 2026, based on the latest pricing data from its Oil Industry Management Bureau.

Gasoline prices for RON 97, RON 95 and RON 91 will each decrease by at least ₱0.73 per liter.

Diesel and Diesel Plus prices will go down by at least ₱0.60 per liter, while kerosene will register the biggest rollback at ₱2.09 per liter. Meanwhile, LPG prices will increase by up to ₱3.67 per kilogram this month, translating to an additional ₱40.38 for a standard 11-kilogram cylinder.

According to the DOE, the price adjustments reflect movements in the global oil market amid continuing developments in the Middle East, which continue to influence fuel supply and international oil prices.

The department said it continues to monitor global energy market developments and remains committed to ensuring a stable oil supply while protecting consumers from the effects of volatile fuel prices.
