The Pasig City government activated its Incident Management Team to strengthen emergency preparedness and response operations amid the effects of the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, enhanced by Typhoon Inday, internationally known as Bavi.

The IMT was activated at 8 p.m. on July 10, with 427 personnel from local and national government agencies deployed for overnight operations until 8 a.m. on July 11.

At 8 a.m. on Saturday, 591 personnel took over emergency response duties as part of the city’s continuing operations. Their shift was scheduled to run until 8 p.m.

An Operational Period Briefing was held at 8:05 a.m. and led by Deputy Incident Commander Ramon Carlos Cayube.

During the briefing, the outgoing overnight response team formally transferred command to the incoming day shift to ensure uninterrupted emergency operations.

The city government said authorities continue to monitor weather conditions and respond to incidents linked to the enhanced southwest monsoon and Typhoon Inday.

Residents were advised to immediately report emergencies through the Pasig City Emergency Hotline at (02) 8643-0000.
