  • July 7, 2026

Thousands of Pasigueños from various sectors joined a colorful Civic Parade on July 2 as part of the celebration of Araw ng Pasig 2026.

The parade gathered officials and employees of the Pasig City Government, together with representatives from national government agencies, barangays, schools, the private sector, non-government and civil society organizations, and religious institutions across the city.

This year’s parade featured local government offices presenting their own interpretations of some of the country’s famous festivals, including the Pahiyas Festival of Lucban, Quezon; Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo City; Moriones Festival of Marinduque; MassKara Festival of Bacolod City; and Panagbenga Festival of Baguio City.

Other delegations also took part in the celebration, wearing colorful costumes and accessories.

The festive mood was further highlighted by performances from the Pasig City Symphonic Band and the Pasig Crown Drum and Lyre Organization, which entertained participants and spectators during the parade.

The procession began in front of Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish and passed through C. Raymundo Avenue and A. Mabini Street before ending at Plaza Rizal, where city officials welcomed the participating delegations.

As part of the city’s efforts to respond to the continuing oil crisis, the local government limited the vehicles used in the parade to electric vehicles.
