Maya Lowers InstaPay Fee to P10 in Push for Cheaper Digital Transfers

  • July 5, 2026

Maya will lower its InstaPay transfer fee to other banks from P15 to P10 beginning July 6, in a move aimed at making digital fund transfers more affordable for its customers.

The reduced fee will apply to real-time InstaPay transfers sent to other banks and participating financial institutions. Maya said the updated charge will automatically appear in the Maya app starting July 6.

Transfers between Maya accounts will remain free, the company said. Bank transfers made through PESONet will also remain free, subject to the network’s standard processing schedule.

Maya said the adjustment is part of its broader effort to make digital financial services more accessible and affordable for Filipinos by offering free and lower-cost options for everyday transactions.

The fee cut comes after the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued new rules capping digital fund transfer charges and requiring free processing for small merchant payments.

Under BSP Memorandum No. M-2026-025 dated June 17, 2026, the Monetary Board lifted the five-year moratorium on InstaPay and PESONet transaction fees. The move allows cost-based pricing following the rollout of zero-fee structures for small merchants.

The memorandum implements provisions under BSP Circular No. 1238, which ensures that small merchants are not charged for receiving digital payments as part of efforts to accelerate the adoption of cashless transactions nationwide.
