The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Labor and Employment have moved to strengthen coordination between skills training and employment services through the PESO-CTEC Congress 2026.
The congress brought together Public Employment Service Office managers and Community Training and Employment Coordinators from across the province to discuss ways to improve job facilitation and technical-vocational education and training.
TESDA said the gathering served as a platform for national agencies, local implementers, and partner stakeholders to align workforce priorities and make training programs more responsive to the needs of communities and industries.
The event also featured the launch of the LANDBANK PISO Plus Account, which aims to promote financial inclusion by giving PESO partners access to more convenient and efficient banking services.
TESDA said the activity reflects the continuing effort of government agencies to expand employment opportunities, improve access to skills training, and strengthen the delivery of frontline services through closer coordination with local partners.
