The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) welcomed the approval of the Boosting Employability in Strategic TVET Sectors (BEST) Project by the Investment Coordination Committee–Cabinet Committee (ICC-CC), calling it a major step toward strengthening technical vocational education and training (TVET) in the country.
TESDA said the project will next be submitted to the Economy and Development Council, chaired by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., for final approval.
Once approved, the BEST Project is expected to widen access to quality and industry-responsive TVET programs, help equip more Filipinos with future-ready skills, and open more opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in key economic sectors.
Under the leadership of Secretary Kiko Benitez, TESDA reaffirmed its commitment to developing a highly skilled, globally competitive, and empowered Filipino workforce in support of the country’s inclusive and sustainable development goals.
