The Senate impeachment court on Monday issued the pre-trial order to both the prosecution and defense panels in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Senate Secretary Renato Bantug, who also serves as clerk of the impeachment court, said copies of the pre-trial order were sent to both parties through electronic mail late yesterday afternoon.
“Release to the parties by electronic mail. Printed copies to be hand-delivered,” Bantug said in a Viber message to the media.
The pre-trial order serves as a “roadmap” outlining the matters agreed upon during the pre-trial conference.
Bantug earlier said the prosecution and defense teams would each be given three days to comment on the pre-trial order, with the deadline falling on Thursday this week.
No details were released to the media regarding the contents of the pre-trial order.
