The local government of the City of Manila strongly condemned the alleged abuse of a four-year-old child in Malate following the arrest of the suspect by the Manila Police District (MPD).
The arrested individual, based on the ongoing police investigation, is also allegedly linked to the abuse of three other minors.
The city government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and ensuring that those responsible for crimes against minors are held accountable under the law.
Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso, during his #TalkToThePeople program, announced the signing of Executive Order No. 29, Series of 2026, establishing the Manila School and Community Safety Task Force under the Manila Schools Safety Initiative.
The new task force aims to strengthen safety and security in schools and surrounding communities through closer coordination among concerned agencies, improved preparedness, and enhanced preventive measures against violence and other threats to the welfare of students, teachers, and residents.
