The Philippine Military Academy (Philippine Military Academy), through its Headquarters Academic Group, participated in InnoVision 2026: “Special Workshop on Military IT Convergence” held at the Far Eastern University (Far Eastern University) Tech Innovation Center.
A total of 18 PMA faculty members joined the activity led by Brigadier General Stephen A. Agtoto, Dean of Academics. The delegation included military officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staff from the Department of Information Technology, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences.
The workshop featured expert-led discussions focusing on the role of emerging technologies in strengthening military education, defense innovation, and national security.
Topics covered included technology readiness frameworks, information dominance, and multi-domain deterrence concepts, which were presented as relevant inputs for future capability development.
The PMA delegation also held discussions with representatives of the National Research Council of the Philippines and senior innovation leaders at FEU to explore potential research and academic collaborations.
The activity was conducted in coordination with the Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CEISSAFP) through the Philippine Coding Camp.
It forms part of the PMA’s ongoing effort to strengthen its faculty’s digital competencies and align instruction with modern defense and security requirements.
With cyber threats continuing to evolve, the academy said it is expanding instructors’ training exposure through technology-focused workshops to support modern military education and capability development.
The institution is also scaling up microcredential programs for the Cadet Corps, Armed Forces of the Philippines, aimed at developing competencies for multi-domain operations.
Through these initiatives, the PMA is reinforcing its push for innovation-driven military education aligned with the evolving demands of national defense.
