In Antipolo City, Rizal, a joint tracker team composed of PHPT Rizal, RHPU 4A Intelligence Section, and the Antipolo Component City Police Station arrested a provincial-level most wanted person for violation of Republic Act No. 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court of San Mateo, Rizal, with bail set at P300,000.
In Tubao, La Union, PHPT operatives arrested another wanted person for frustrated homicide through an intelligence-driven operation. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 31, Agoo, La Union, with bail set at P72,000.
All arrested individuals were informed of their constitutional rights and are now under police custody pending documentation and turnover to the issuing courts.
PNP-HPG Director PBGen. Rommel S. Batangan commended the operating units, saying the operations reflect sustained efforts to strengthen law enforcement.
“The successful arrest of wanted persons across different regions demonstrates the relentless efforts of our personnel in supporting the administration of justice. Through intelligence-driven operations, strong coordination with territorial units, and strict adherence to legal procedures, the Highway Patrol Group remains steadfast in ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts,” Batangan said.
The PNP-HPG said it will continue to intensify manhunt operations as part of the Philippine National Police’s broader anti-criminality campaign, emphasizing professional and law-based policing.
