POLICE arrested the No. 7 regional most wanted person in Nueva Vizcaya during a law enforcement operation in Barangay Labang, Ambaguio on June 5, 2026.

The suspect, a 38-year-old farmer and resident of the area, was arrested by personnel of the Ambaguio Police Station through a warrant for rape.

The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Second Judicial Region, Branch 29 in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya. No bail was recommended.

Authorities said the operation was carried out in a remote mountainous area, underscoring the Philippine National Police’s continued efforts to track down wanted persons regardless of location or terrain.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the arrest reflects the police force’s commitment to justice and accountability.

“The law must be enforced without exception, and those with pending serious charges must face the courts and due process,” Nartatez said.

“Hindi kami titigil sa paghahanap sa mga taong umiwas sa batas. Ang hustisya ay para sa mga biktima,” he added.

The PNP said the operation forms part of its intensified campaign against wanted persons under its focused agenda on enhanced police operations and public safety.
