Lucena Campus Cell Site to Improve Student, Community Connectivity

A new on-campus cell site will be built at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) in Lucena City to improve mobile connectivity for students, teachers, nearby residents, local businesses, and public institutions.

The project, in partnership with Globe Telecom Inc., aims to strengthen network coverage within the MSEUF campus and surrounding communities in Southern Luzon.

Once completed, the cell site is expected to provide more reliable access to online learning platforms, research tools, digital libraries, cloud-based applications, artificial intelligence tools, and day-to-day communication services.

For students and faculty, stronger connectivity is seen to support virtual classes, online examinations, learning management systems, and other digital tools now used in modern education. It may also improve communication between students, teachers, and school administrators on academic requirements, campus announcements, and student services.

Nearby residents, workers, commuters, parents, and visitors are also expected to benefit from improved mobile internet access, especially for communication, online transactions, remote work, access to information, and emergency-related services.

Public institutions and local government offices may likewise use stronger connectivity to support digital service delivery, disaster preparedness, emergency response coordination, and community information dissemination.

The project is also expected to help small businesses around the university, including sari-sari stores, food vendors, transport operators, and local merchants, by making it easier to use digital payments, manage online orders, access e-commerce platforms, and communicate with customers.

Globe Chief Commercial Officer Darius Delgado said the infrastructure is intended to bring reliable connectivity to schools, communities, businesses, and young Filipinos preparing for the future.

“We are happy with the support of MSEUF to allow its students and faculty to bring 21st-century learning to Lucena. The infrastructure we bring will deliver reliable connectivity to where it matters most: schools, communities, businesses, and young Filipinos preparing for the future,” Delgado said.

“We are building stronger network access in Lucena and laying the foundation for digital learning, local economic growth, along with youth empowerment,” he added.

The initiative forms part of continuing efforts to expand digital access in communities where reliable connectivity has become essential to education, livelihood, public service, and local economic participation.
